On Wednesday morning at school, Mrs Friedrich, the English teacher was doing the roll call :
“Thaunay ?” “present”. “ Tousch?” “present”. “Walzer ?”
No answer. The teacher was very surprised and she asked : “ but, where is Mary ?”
“She’s been missing since Monday!” said her friend Geoffrey. “ That’s very strange !”
It was very amazing because Mary was a good pupil. Everybody was worried. Suddenly, Charlotte said : “she’s in holiday ”. “I’m going to phone her parents.” The teacher replied.
“They are in holiday too!” charlotte added. “ But I’ve got the number of her mum’s mobile phone.” “ No, don’t phone .” “ be quiet Charlotte, I’m fed up with you !”
When Mrs Friedrich went back home, she phoned Mary’s mother :
“ Mrs Walzer speaking” “ Good evening Mrs Walzer, I’m Mrs Friedrich, Mary’s English teacher. Your daughter wasn’t at school today.” “ I know, she’s been away since Monday.”
“ A girl said that Mary was in holiday with you.” “ No, she isn’t, I’m so worried !”
The teacher was very surprised !
On Thursday, a boy, Adrien was drinking a coffee when he found a piece of paper on which the beginning of a word was written. But Adrien was illiterate and couldn’t read it.
He went to see his only friend, Jordan and asked him to read the paper :

Adrien wanted to show the piece of paper to the detective club, but Charlotte said :” come on, Adrien, let’s have a coffee !” “ yes, let’s go !” “ do you have any change ?” “ Oh yes !”
But finally, Jordan, gave the paper to the detective club.

At 6:30 p.m, Mr Kahé decided to phone Mrs Gelly because his son, Adrien Kahé didn’t come back home. Suddenly, someone rang at the door. Mr Kahé opened it and saw a piece of paper on which he read “ Charles ”. He immediately phoned the police.
When the police arrived, they went to the school and looked for Adrien in the canteen. They saw a huge blood stain : Adrien was dead.
This drama was so horrible for the Kahé family that they changed their name and moved to another area.

The next day, Arnaud was in the hall, standing next to the coffee-machine and looking for change to drink a coffee. He put the money in the coffee-machine and the cup fell but there wasn’t any coffee in it, he only found a piece of paper. He joined his friends : Julien, Nicolas and Noémie and said : “ I found a piece of paper in my cup”. Julien, Nicolas and Noémie were looking at the paper when Arnaud said : “ there is a word written on it : "DERER"

In the afternoon, Jordan, a little serious pupil disappeared. The pupils saw him for the last time in the corridor of the third floor. He usually enjoyed throwing stink bombs in the room According to the legend, Charles Peguy committed suicide by jumping out of the window. His body was crushed on the ground, his intestines were lying on the floor.
Before Jordan’s disappearance, his parents had told Mr and Mrs Babypop, the neighbours, that their son, Jordan, heard voices. Jordan’s mother added that he said he heard the voices of Charles Peguy’s ghost. Jordan and his mother went to the psychologist, Mr Christensen who told her that her son was very healthy and that the voices he heard were the consequences of a nightmare. The next day, the pupils only had school in the morning.
A pupil, Oliver Oakland, was Jordan’s best friend and he told the headmistress of the school, MrsGelly, that he had found Jordan’s body in the mysterious room 37, opposite the house of Zombie. According to the pupils of year 9, Zombie came in the room at sunset. The headmistress came in the mysterious room with the young Oliver Oakland. She saw the body and came nearer with a frightened look. Jordan’s body was hung on the blackboard. A few minutes later, the blackboard was nothing else than a wall of blood. Oliver found stick bombs under a table. He lowered his head and saw a compass driven in an eye. He screamed very loudly and Mrs Gelly turned over him with a surprised face! She saw Jordan’s eye and shouted. Then, they saw pieces of glass stuck in Jordan’s throat and arms.
The bell rang. DRING ! DRING ! It was midday…
The headmistress ran out to close the door. Then she took the phone and called the police. In the afternoon, Mrs Gelly gave Oliver a lift back home.

On Wednesday, at 11 o’clock, after the English class, Sarah and Dominique , her friend, were in the hall of the school. Dominique found a letter on the floor. Sarah collected the paper. She was reading it when a boy tore it and went out. She kept a little bit of the letter. Dominique went to speak with the supervisor and Sarah. A few minutes later, Dominique went to the toilets and Sarah went to the coffee-machine because she wanted to drink something hot. She chose a drink, a cup came down, but instead of coffee, she saw blood in her cup. Sarah was very scared, the coffee-machine opened and sniffed the girl up.
When Dominique came back, Sarah was not here and there was just a little bit of paper, Dominique brought it to the detective club.

The next day, during break, Julien went to the corridor of the school to spy Charlotte . Everything was normal until he saw Charlotte and Amandine going to the end of the corridor.
Nobody was there and everything was quiet. Julien hid behind a door. The girls disappeared at the corner. When they turned, Amandine said : “ where are we going ?” and Charlotte answered : “ don’t ask stupid questions, you’ll see”.
They were walking to the coffee-machine. Suddenly, Charlotte entered a password on the coffee-machine. She ran far from it and Amandine began to be sniffed up and completely disappeared in the machine. Julien heard a horrible scream and he was very frightened. Then, feeling petrified, he saw Charlotte who was coming nearer and nearer. Julien looked for a hidden place but he didn’t find any. She moved closer, smiled and said : “ Hello, Julien.”
She left and Julien went to the end of the corridor : he discovered a paper. This paper was in front of the coffee-machine, on it you could read : "Charles Peguy". Julien hurried up to tell his friends what he had discovered.
Julien came to the highschool's party with the piece of paper. The other detectives were there. He showed the paper to Noémie, Arnaud and Nicolas. Arnaud remembered he also had a similar paper and showed it to the other members of the group. They noticed that the papers were making a puzzle : " THE MURDERER IS CHARLES PEGUY ".
Julien told his friends that he saw Charlotte with Amandine when she was assassinated. They thought she was guilty and went to the coffee-machine. They entered the password : " Charles", and the machine opened. The four detectives were sniffed up and they arrived in a very large room. Charlotte was there with Charles Peguy, they were drinking tea, Charles was very angry. He wanted to kill Julien but Charlotte shouted : " No ! Don't kill him ! "
And Charles Peguy who was secretely in love with Charlotte murdered her instead of Julien. He was so desperate that he disappeared. As soon as he vanished, all the victims came back to life.
Amandine said it was a dream and the others said they also had the impression that it was only a bad dream. They were so happy to be alive that Amandine and Julien suggested to organize a party to celebrate the event. They all clapped their hands and wanted to hugh their friends but, they couldn't ... they passed through each other ! They were ghosts !
